Joseph A. Denson, Founding Attorney and Litigator
Joseph A. Denson is a native of Albany, Georgia. He is licensed to practice in all federal and state courts of both Mississippi and Alabama.
He received his Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Political Science from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi. He received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, cum laude Houston, Texas. As a research assistant in law school, he assisted in drafting and editing a Yale International Law and Policy Law Review Article, Avena and The World Court’s Death Penalty Jurisdiction in Texas: Addressing the Odd Notion of Texas’s Independence From the World, 23 Yale L. &POL’Y455(2005).
Attorney Denson is a the principal and founding member of the Law Office of Denson and Associates, PLLC. Additionally, he is a public defender for the City of Meridian, MS.
Attorney Denson is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association, the Lauderdale County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Association of Lauderdale County, Mississippi.
He is happily married to Bridgette L. Denson of Dothan, Alabama. He is a member of Meridian Holiness Deliverance Church were he faithfully serves as Assistant Pastor and Minister of Music.

Bridgette L. Denson has been a cornerstone of Denson & Associates, PLLC since the firm’s founding. A graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Bridgette brings strong organizational leadership, technology-forward problem solving, and a steady commitment to client service to every aspect of the office. She has worked alongside her husband, Attorney Joseph A. Denson, since the very beginning—helping build the firm’s systems, supporting the team, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally.
As Office Manager, Bridgette oversees administrative operations, office systems, and client support to help ensure each matter receives timely attention and clear communication. Clients with questions regarding invoices, payments, billing statements, or account concerns are encouraged to contact Bridgette directly. Outside the office, she serves as a Youth Pastor at New Meridian Holiness Deliverance Church. She is also the proud mother of their three sons—Joseph Jr., Josiah, and Jackson—bringing the same steady leadership and care to her family and community that clients experience at the firm.
Terrill Denson-Osby, Personal Injury Claims Specialist
Terrill Denson-Osby serves as Denson & Associates, PLLC’s Personal Injury Claims Specialist and is Attorney Joseph A. Denson’s older sister. She joined the firm approximately three years ago, bringing with her a strong background in the medical field—experience that has proven invaluable in helping injured clients navigate both the treatment process and the steps required to pursue a successful claim.
From the very beginning of a case, Terrill is often the first point of contact for personal injury clients. She handles the initial intake, opens the claim, and works with clients from start to finish throughout the recovery and claims process. Clients appreciate that they can consistently speak with the same person who knows their case, understands their medical progress, and can answer questions with clarity and care.
Known for her calm, compassionate, and “mothering” spirit, Terrill makes sure clients stay encouraged during difficult moments, attend their medical appointments, and remain focused on healing until they reach maximum medical improvement. Her dedication to client care and her close coordination with Attorney Denson make her an essential part of the personal injury team and a trusted advocate for those going through the recovery process.
Shauntania Taylor, Senior Legal Assistant
Shauntania Taylor is a Senior Legal Assistant at Denson & Associates, PLLC and has been an integral part of the firm for approximately five years. She began her career with the firm at the front desk in reception, where her leadership, attention to detail, and strong work ethic quickly stood out. Through consistent performance and a natural ability to get the job done, meet assignments, and stay ahead of deadlines, Shauntania earned her role as a senior member of the legal support team, now working directly under Attorney Joseph A. Denson.
In her current role, Shauntania is known for her fierce dedication to the work and to the firm’s clients. She plays a critical role in ensuring evidence is gathered and properly organized, discovery deadlines are met, and case files are fully trial-ready. Her behind-the-scenes diligence helps ensure Attorney Denson is prepared for hearings, depositions, and trial, making her an indispensable part of the litigation process.
Beyond her professional excellence, Shauntania is a longtime childhood friend of Attorney Denson and is truly considered family within the firm. Her loyalty, reliability, and commitment to excellence make her a tremendous asset to the office—and someone the team would not want to practice without.
Amber Benamon, Legal Assistant
Amber Benamon has been a valued member of Denson & Associates, PLLC for approximately 18 months and has quickly become a fixture within the office. She joined the firm in the summer of 2024 while attending college at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. From the very beginning, Amber showed a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to the work—qualities that made her a natural fit for the team.
Even while balancing her academic responsibilities, Amber consistently went above and beyond. During school breaks, holidays, and time off—including Christmas holidays—she returned to the office to continue working part-time, demonstrating her dedication to the firm and its clients. In May 2025, Amber graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, further strengthening her role as a legal assistant and her contribution to the firm’s daily operations.
Amber is known for being easy to work with, dependable, and professional. Clients frequently comment that it is a pleasure working with her, and her calm, friendly demeanor adds to the supportive environment of the office. We are grateful to have Amber as part of the Denson & Associates team and look forward to watching her continue to grow—especially as she plans to pursue her Juris Doctor degree in the coming years. She is our "Gen Z" member of the office.
Courtney Kidd, Receptionist
Courtney Kidd is the welcoming voice and first point of contact at Denson & Associates, PLLC. She recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with the firm this January and has quickly earned her self-proclaimed—and well-deserved—title as “the best receptionist in East Mississippi.” A graduate of Mississippi State University, Courtney brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and natural leadership to the front desk each day.
Courtney plays a vital role in keeping the office running smoothly. Whether a client is calling with a question, an inquiry, or to begin the intake process, Courtney is often the first person they speak with—and it is almost always a pleasant experience. Her professionalism, warmth, and efficiency help set the tone for the entire firm and ensure clients feel welcomed and heard from the very first interaction.

Shirley Denson serves as the Billing Manager at Denson & Associates, PLLC and is the mother of Attorney Joseph A. Denson. Having known him longer than he has known himself, Shirley brings not only experience and wisdom to the firm, but also a level of care, accountability, and encouragement that can only come from a mother’s heart.
Although she serves in a part-time capacity, Shirley’s presence in the office is always felt. Whenever she is in, there is an immediate sense of order, positivity, and renewed focus. She works primarily behind the scenes in the billing office, but her attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure that all billing matters are handled accurately, professionally, and with integrity.
Known as the “mother of the office,” Shirley brings a special spark to the team—offering guidance, warmth, and steady support to staff and leadership alike. Her dedication, work ethic, and genuine love for the firm and its people make her a truly irreplaceable asset.
